Our tour guide, Xiao Gu, explained things very clearly and answered questions in both Chinese and English. This day tour was very convenient, allowing us to visit all the must-see attractions in one go, and we could spend as much time as we wanted at each one. Unfortunately, one of the group members was very unpunctual. He was late for the first two attractions every time, leaving more than 20 other group members waiting for him. The tour guide told him to improve, but he was rude to one of the group members. Fortunately, the tour guide did talk to him, and his tardiness improved afterward.
The original purpose was to take an icebreaker cruise to see the ice breaking, which was the highlight of the trip. Reviews said there would be ice from late January to February, but when we went close to the end of January, we didn't see any because the ice hadn't floated to Japan yet 😂. However! The other activities on the itinerary were great. The hotel was very clean, and the buffet was a pleasant surprise—more thoughtful and delicious than even the high-end hotels in Hong Kong. We also visited a very cold little rural spot with thick, beautiful snow! The scenery was like a painting—absolutely amazing!
