If you are in Tawau city, you can take a bus from Tongtalun or Manis bus companies to Semporna, which takes about one hour and thirty minutes, with one-way tickets priced between 10 to 15 Malaysian Ringgit.

The best time to visit Semporna is from March to October each year. During this period, the weather is drier, making it ideal for various water activities. If you wish to avoid the rainy season, consider the period from November to January. Additionally, May to September is a good time to see sea turtles. If you want to avoid crowds and enjoy more favorable prices, consider traveling during the low season.
