This is one of the few tours that combines Jinshan Old Street and Jiufen. With the professional and humorous explanations of the tour guide and the time management, you can enjoy visiting the key scenic spots and shops at your leisure, saving a lot of time searching online, waiting and transferring. It is a very cost-effective and convenient day trip to Fenglu!
We were traveling with two families and wanted to fly lanterns in Shifen, so we chartered a taxi. They picked us up at the hotel, took us to a lantern shop in Shifen, where we bought some, took photos, and even waited for us to buy souvenirs. We had a great time. On the way back, they dropped us off at the nearest night market. They were friendly, punctual, and very reliable.
This was my first time in Taiwan. Traveling with five girls, I had many concerns, so I researched this highly rated tour beforehand and decided to join it. Since it was such a special occasion, I decided to take the C Tour, which offered a full day of sightseeing. On the day, the five of us shared the ride with another family (maybe locals). The car was not cramped at all and there was little swaying, so it was so comfortable that my friend, who suffers from motion sickness, said she didn't even notice. I actually sat in the middle of the back seat, but it was so spacious and comfortable that I slept soundly throughout the entire trip. Our driver and guide, Mr. Okuma, was very kind and even went out of his way to use a translation app to guide us, even though we were Japanese. He also took lots of beautiful photos with his iPhone, which was very much appreciated. We also added the Amei Teahouse experience, but there was so much tea that we couldn't finish it all while visiting the other shops. The snacks were delicious, and the staff were very kind. While the lantern-releasing event wasn't on the train tracks, I was happy to see it in a more beautiful setting than the tracks. What's more, they even took the time to take photos on both our phones and Okuma's phone...we really appreciate it. If you join the LINE group listed in the contact information beforehand, they will send you a Japanese translation of the guide and add the photos they took to your album, which is very convenient. I think it's a good idea to contact them if you have any questions on the day. It was my first time in Taiwan, so I had a lot of worries, but my friends were really happy and said it was a good idea to join this tour. I would highly recommend this to anyone new to Taiwan!
I highly recommend this day trip! Our tour guide, Jeff, was incredibly professional and thoughtful. 💖 In Yehliu, he clearly pointed out the best photo spots and areas to explore quickly. The itinerary was incredibly smooth and time-saving. 📸 When we were releasing the sky lanterns in Shifen Old Street, he efficiently divided us into groups and explained the process clearly without any delay. He also reminded us that the sky lanterns are collected by designated personnel, making our trip a safe and enjoyable one. 🎈 Jiufen was a highlight! ✨ Jeff vividly explained the origins of Jiufen and its gold mining days, and even shared must-try food and hidden gems at every stall along the way. 🍡 He mentioned that their platform is the only one that doesn't require climbing 500 steps, which was incredibly thoughtful! Finally, we had the opportunity to try making handmade pineapple cakes. 🥮 This was also included in the itinerary at no extra cost! Jeff also mentioned that their prices were the best on the entire platform, as other websites charge extra for the same content. It was truly worth the money. 💰 The entire trip was filled with laughter and rich information. Jeff also interspersed many interesting Taiwan stories, making the whole journey fun and heartwarming. 🥰 The only regret was that I didn't have enough cash on me, so I couldn't give a good tip to this attentive tour guide. 💸 I'll definitely be prepared to join his tour again next time. Highly recommended! 👏💗
