Product Info

Würzburg in winter – quiet, steeped in history, and full of architectural splendor. This winter tour combines the splendor of the Baroque with a lively walking tour of the Old Town and an atmospheric conclusion on the Old Main Bridge.

The tour starts at the Würzburg Residence, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important Baroque buildings in Europe. As part of a guided visit, you will explore central rooms such as the magnificent staircase with the world's largest ceiling fresco and the impressive Imperial Hall. Afterwards, there is half an hour for a self-guided tour – for example, of the Prince's Room or the exhibitions.

Then you'll head through the old town, past important buildings and squares such as the baroque Falkenhaus, the Neumünster, the cathedral and the historic town hall. Along the way, there will be exciting stories about the development of the city, the time of the prince-bishops, and the eventful history of Würzburg.

The tour ends on the Alte Mainbrücke – with a glass of wine, hot mulled wine or non-alcoholic punch in hand and a magnificent view of the Marienberg Fortress and the Käppele.

A walk through the ages – with culture, history and wintertime enjoyment.
