Travel beyond the well-trodden Cape Peninsula route to Africa's true southernmost point. This full-day tour combines three unmissable experiences along the scenic Overberg coast: a colony of African penguins, prime whale watching territory, and Cape Agulhas — where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans officially meet.

Departing early from Cape Town, you'll travel through the picturesque Overberg wheat lands en route to the coast, with stops for photos and stretch breaks along the way. The pace is relaxed but the day is long, covering significant ground to take in everything this region offers.

Itinerary:

Pickup from Cape Town
Depart central Cape Town and head out along the N2, with scenic stops as the route allows.

African Penguin Colony — approx. 1.5 hours
Visit a coastal penguin colony to see these endangered seabirds up close in their natural habitat. Entry fee included.

Whale Watching Viewpoints (Overberg Coast) — approx. 1.5 hours
Stop at elevated coastal viewpoints known for land-based whale sightings. Southern Right and Humpback whales are commonly spotted in season. Optional boat-based whale watching available nearby at your own cost (not included).

Lunch Stop — approx. 1.5 hours
Free time for lunch at a local restaurant or café (own expense).

Cape Agulhas — approx. 2 hours
Visit the southernmost tip of the African continent, including the iconic lighthouse and the marker where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans converge. Entry fee included.

Return Journey to Cape Town
Scenic drive back, with a final coastal stop if time allows.
