Begin your day with a pickup from your hotel in Pokhara and head to the Sarangkot viewpoint to watch the sunrise over the Himalayas. See the first light hit Annapurna I, II, and IV, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and Dhaulagiri in a full panoramic sweep.
Next, visit the Shree Bindabasini Temple, one of Pokhara's oldest and most sacred temples, dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati (a form of Durga). Enjoy a quiet morning darshan with mountain views before the tourist crowds arrive.
Then, board a traditional wooden rowboat and cross the calm waters of Phewa Lake to reach Tal Barahi, a two-story Hindu temple sitting on a small island. See the Annapurna range reflected perfectly on the lake on clear mornings.
Continue to the World Peace Pagoda, a brilliant white Japanese-built Buddhist stupa perched high above Phewa Lake. Enjoy a 360° view of Pokhara city, the lake, and the entire Annapurna range.
After a lunch break, visit the Pumdikot Shiva Statue, one of Pokhara's most spectacular new attractions. See the towering 51-meter Shiva statue standing on a hilltop at Pumdikot, directly facing Sarangkot across the valley.
Next, descend into the Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, a natural limestone cave concealing a sacred Shiva lingam. Witness Devi's Fall thundering through the rock below.
Then, visit Devi's Fall (Patale Chhango), a dramatic waterfall that drops suddenly into an underground gorge and disappears.
Finally, explore the International Mountain Museum, one of the finest mountaineering museums in Asia. Trace the history of Himalayan expeditions with original gear, photographs, and expedition diaries. Learn about the ethnic cultures and traditional costumes of Nepal's mountain peoples.
