Day 1: Shoebill Tracking at Mabamba Swamp and Uganda Equator Experience
Depart Entebbe at 6:00 AM and drive approximately 1 hour to Mabamba Swamp, home to the elusive shoebill stork.
Board a traditional motorized canoe for a guided boat excursion through the papyrus channels in search of the shoe bill. Along the way, you may also spot African jacanas, malachite kingfishers, swamp flycatchers, herons, and other wetland bird species.
After the boat excursion, continue with a 2-hour drive to the Uganda Equator at Kayabwe. Enjoy lunch, take photographs with one foot in each hemisphere, and watch the famous water experiment demonstrating the Coriolis effect.
Drive another 3–4 hours to your lodge near Kalinzu Forest, arriving in the evening.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kalinzu Forest
After an early breakfast at 6:00 AM, drive approximately 1 hour to the Kalinzu Forest visitor centre for the mandatory ranger briefing.
Begin your guided forest hike in search of wild chimpanzees, following experienced guides through the tropical forest. Besides chimpanzees, Kalinzu is home to black-and-white colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, olive baboons, and numerous forest bird species.
Once the chimpanzees are located, spend one hour observing their natural behaviour before returning to the visitor centre.
Depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a 3-hour drive, arriving at your lodge near Ruhija in the evening.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and Transfer to Kigali
After an early breakfast, report to the Ruhija sector headquarters for the 8:00 AM ranger briefing before beginning your gorilla trekking adventure.
Accompanied by experienced Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers, hike through Bwindi rainforest in search of one of the habituated mountain gorilla families. Trekking can last anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas' location.
Once the gorillas are found, spend one hour observing them as they feed, groom, interact and care for their young in their natural habitat.
After receiving your trekking certificate, begin a 4 hour drive to Rwanda, arriving in Kigali in the late afternoon or evening, marking the end of your safari.
