As a Nice native and nature lover, I know many secret places between Nice and Monaco, accessible by small roads that are more frequented by cyclists and hikers than by cars. We can visit a 19th-century fort and have a picnic while enjoying breathtaking views of the village of Eze and the sea. If you want to end the tour with a swim, I can take you to one of the quietest beaches frequented by locals, whether in Nice, Villefranche, or Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. We will start in Nice, where I will show you the must-see highlights, including the 17th-century historic old town and the colorful Cours Saleya market, before taking you to a natural park, unknown to tourists, which offers spectacular views of Nice, Villefranche, and Cap-Ferrat.
We will travel to the medieval village of Eze, perched on a hilltop, stopping along the way to take some pictures. In Èze, you can stroll through the cobblestone streets lined with artisan shops and visit the Jardin Exotique, where you can learn more about the tropical vegetation while admiring breathtaking views.
In Monte Carlo, after seeing the castle and the casino and perhaps watching the passersby at the Café de Paris, we can enjoy local specialties such as pichade or barbajuan, and drive on the Formula 1 circuit.
You'll have many restaurants to choose from along this part of the coast, but for me, nothing beats a picnic from a secluded vantage point overlooking the village of Èze, with the sparkling sea below.
