Get up close and personal to the sea turtles on a 30-minute guided tour of the Turtle Rehabilitation Centre. Learn about the dangers that sea turtles face, and how they are rescued, treated, released and tracked.

Marvel at the process of rehabilitating these precious animals. Plus, with the general admission included, you'll see 16,000 aquatic animals and habitats endemic to Tropical North Queensland. Learn about the Wet Tropics Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef.

Reminders

  • Please refer to your voucher for final information regarding meeting points, pick-up locations, and pick-up time

  • Meeting point description: Please make yourself known at the entrance of Cairns aquarium.(Cairns Aquarium, Florence Street, Cairns City QLD, Australia)

  • The tour for the Turtle Rehabilitation Centre is normally daily at 11.30am and 12.30pm and lasts about 30 minutes

  • Please arrive 15 minutes before the Turtle Hospital tour start time that you decide to attend

  • All children must be accompanied by, and supervised by an adult at all times. No Flash Photography and no touching the sea turtles, as this may harm their recovery

  • The Cairns aquarium is normally open daily from 10.00am until 3.00pm. Last admission is at 2.00pm

  • Lifts, escalators and accessible toilets are available for those in wheelchairs throughout the attraction. If you are unable to walk onto the viewing deck, you can still see the turtles in the tank through a viewing window. Free Wheelchair hire is available. Companion Cards are not accepted for this experience

  • Infants (age 0-2): free admission
