Begin in Johannesburg, a vibrant city known for its modern skyline and grid-like streets often compared to Manhattan. From there, travel to Soweto (South Western Township), one of the country’s most historic townships and a powerful symbol of the struggle for freedom.

You'll visit the moving Apartheid Museum, where powerful exhibits, photographs, films, and personal stories trace the rise and fall of apartheid. You'll continue to Mandela House in Soweto, the former home of Nelson Mandela, where you’ll learn about the Mandela family and their role in South Africa’s path to democracy.

The tour also includes a stop at the Hector Pieterson Memorial, which commemorates the students who bravely protested during the 1976 Soweto Uprising and honours their role in the fight against apartheid.
