This one-day tour from Inverness will transport you to various gatherings across Scotland, each exuding its own local character and atmosphere. The Highland Games are a feast for the senses, featuring an impressive display of Highland dancing, pipe bands, hammer throwing, tug-of-war, and caber tossing. The tour includes visits to several games throughout the summer, including those held at Gordon Castle in May, Forres in July, Lonach in August, and culminating with the world-renowned Braemar Gathering in September.

The Braemar Gathering holds a special place in the itinerary as it has been attended by the Royal Family since Queen Victoria's reign in 1848. Each event promises a day filled with excitement and cultural immersion, with return journeys to Inverness scheduled for the evening. For parking, the Old Town Rose Street Multi-Storey is less than a 10-minute walk from the departure point. Check-in closes 15 minutes before departure time, please make sure to arrive at the meeting point on time.(15 Union Street, Inverness, UK)

  • Accessibility:This tour is wheelchair accessible as long as the wheelchair can be folded and stowed. Please note that all participants must be able to climb the coach steps and have someone with them to provide assistance

  • Tours to Gordon Castle and Forres return at approximately 17:00; tours to Braemar and Lonach return at around 19:45

  • Return times are approximate and may vary depending on road and weather conditions. Please ensure you allow sufficient time for any onward travel and plan for at least 3 hours after the scheduled return time before any connections or activities

  • Coaches do not have onboard toilets, but itineraries include regular comfort stops
