Product Info

In this unique 2-hour-long guided tour I will show you Budapest in a sporty way: by jogging.
We start our tour in front of the world-famous Gellért Thermal Bath of Budapest. First I will tell you the story of the construction of this gorgeous thermal bath, then we will jog to the nearby Danube embankment from where I will describe you all the great monuments of the Danube panorama which can be seen from that spot. You will enjoy spectacular views on the city from here.
Then we jog through the Danube embankment and partly through Gellért Hill breathing in crystal-clear air in our lungs to arrive to Clark Adam Square with stunning views on the Royal Buda Palace, Széchenyi Chain Bridge, the Buda Castle Funicular and on the Pest Danube Promenade. During our way we will have a look at two other amazing spas of Budapest, the Rudas and the Rácz thermal baths and we will stop at St Gellért's statue on the slopes of Gellért Hill to have breathtaking views on Budapest from bird's eye view. We will also stop at Várkert Bazár, a beautiful Neo-Renaissance style monument where I will show you the statue of one of the greatest architects of Hungarian architecture history. Arriving to Clark Adam Square I will talk about the history of the Buda Castle and about a golden era of Budapest's history.
After that we continue our way towards the splendid building of the 'Budai Vigadó' which serves today as a prominent cultural centre, dance and event hall, by 'touching' during our way a beautiful Roman Catholic church, the Buda Capuchin Church, a unique drinking well named after a former wealthy Budapest citizen and a deep red-coloured reformed brick church. Here I will show you an extraordinary statue of the architect of Budapest's prettiest market hall.
Then we head towards a famous square to have a look at a perfect example of Baroque architecture, the stunning St Anne Parish. Here we will also see one of the historic market halls of Budapest and the sole blue church of the Hungarian capital with amazing views on the Hungarian Parliament's miraculous building, on Margaret Bridge and on the UNESCO World Heritage site Pest Danube Embankment.
At the end of the tour I will let you get a taste of Hungarian culture by singing you the most beautiful Hungarian folk songs and by showing you some typical Hungarian folk dance steps.
In the 'full', 2-hour-long options of the tour I will also show you the beautiful Margaret Island where I will talk about the history of this splendid island showing you a great number of famous attractions like the island's musical fountain, its little pet zoo, the ruins of a Franciscan church and those of a Domenican monastery and even an amazing rose garden in the middle of the island.
This tour is a perfect choice for you if you would like to refresh your body and mind in a healthy way while enjoying breathtaking views on Budapest and learning about the history of Budapest and about Hungarian traditions.
