By popular request, this tour now includes the Reichstag roof terrace and dome if booked in time and access is officially granted. When I was in my thirties and forties I was working for the Federal Construction Company Berlin. As a privately organised but publicly owned corporation, we built the new Chancellery, the new office and committee buildings of the German Parliament, and renovated the Reichstag, representing a total investment of 1.8 billion euros over seven years. I did run the office of the CEO and the CFO, so all strategic decisions passed over my desk. I will explain to you the urban planning, the architectural competitions and the construction stories. Last but not least I was responsible for all art projects in the buildings. No one knows these stories as well as me. For access to the Reichstag roof terrace and dome, please book in time and send me the first names, surnames, and dates of birth of all participants by GYG email so I can register you on the official Bundestag administration list. Please be aware that there is no guarantee for the access because it may depend on actual sessions or other political restrictions. The other governmental and parliamentary buildings are not accessible for tourists but only by invitation of the MPs.
