Your guide will bring Versailles to life with stories of Louis XIV, Marie-Antoinette, and the daily rituals of court life. Wander through the King’s and Queen’s Apartments, marvel at the painted ceilings, gilded décor, and intricate furnishings that symbolized absolute monarchy at its height.
After the palace visit, if you have selected the option including the Gardens and Trianons, enjoy free time in the Gardens of Versailles, designed by landscape architect André Le Nôtre. Stroll among perfectly manicured lawns, fountains, and sculptures, and on selected days (spring to autumn), experience the Musical Gardens or Fountain Shows.
You will also have the opportunity to visit the Grand Trianon and Petit Trianon, the elegant retreats favored by Louis XIV and Marie-Antoinette. Explore their intimate interiors and surrounding estate at your own pace in a self-guided experience.
