The focus is on ensuring a smooth silhouette and comfortable fit throughout your day.
The Tokyo Asakusa Kimono Experience usually offers a full-day rental, allowing ample time to explore the Asakusa area. You are generally expected to return the kimono before the shop's closing time on the same day. Specific return times will be provided upon rental, ensuring you have a relaxing day without rush.
For a Tokyo Asakusa experience, the main differences between a kimono and a yukata lie in their seasonality, material, and formality. Kimonos are generally multi-layered, made of silk or other luxurious fabrics, worn with tabi socks and zori sandals, and suitable for cooler weather or more formal occasions. Yukatas are typically single-layered, made of cotton, designed for summer, worn without tabi socks, and considered more casual. This experience specifically provides traditional kimonos, perfect for a classic cultural immersion.
When using the restroom during your Asakusa kimono experience, it's essential to be mindful of your layers. Lift the outer kimono layers, obi (sash), and inner slips carefully from the front and back, holding them up to prevent them from touching the floor. Take a wide stance to avoid soiling the fabric. Patience and careful movements are key to a hassle-free experience.
Yes, it is common and comfortable to use public transportation like trains while wearing a kimono for the Asakusa experience. Kimonos are designed to allow movement, although you'll naturally take smaller steps. When sitting, gather the front of your kimono slightly to prevent wrinkles and sit with good posture. Be mindful of your surroundings in crowded spaces to avoid bumping into others.

It is situated just a 2-minute walk from the iconic Kaminarimon gate and a 5-minute walk from Asakusa Station. This prime position allows you to start exploring the historic Asakusa area immediately after your kimono fitting, saving you time and effort.

It includes a beautiful kimono, obi (sash), innerwear, zori (sandals), a handbag, and hair accessories. Additionally, the service provides simple hairstyling, a professional one-on-one dressing service by certified Japanese kimono dressers, emergency feminine hygiene products, and complimentary tissues for a comfortable and worry-free experience.
