Product Info
- Departing from Sapporo Station! We will guide you to two recommended spots for observing wild birds in the winter forests around the Chitose River. This tour is designed for birdwatching beginners. A lunch break is included. We will provide lectures while exploring the field, covering everything from how to use binoculars to how to find and photograph birds. Since the paths are generally well-maintained, children (from 5 years old) are welcome to join. This tour is recommended for those who want to start birdwatching or those who would like to try observing at different spots for a change. This guided tour can be given in English.
- Binoculars are available for free rental!
- We provide free rentals of binoculars necessary for observation. Please let us know if you would like to rent them when booking.
- Round-trip transport from Sapporo Station included
- We provide free transport from in front of Sapporo Station. Pick-up from accommodation facilities around the station is also possible.
- Small-group tour with thorough support
- The tour is conducted in small groups to ensure attentive support. We operate with a maximum of 2 groups and a capacity of 5 people. As a COVID-19 precaution, we have placed alcohol disinfectant and disposable masks in our transport vehicles.

Regarding cancellation of the event:
- Tours may be canceled before departure due to weather conditions or other force majeure reasons. In such cases, we will contact you as soon as possible. If the tour is canceled for the above reasons, there will be no cancellation fee. In addition, depending on weather conditions and other circumstances, we may change the course or schedule to ensure the safety of our guests. Please note that we cannot provide refunds, including all expenses, even if the original purpose of the tour is not achieved as a result.
Please note the following when participating in this course:
- While guides will do their best to ensure safety during activities, there are various dangers associated with outdoor activities, such as falls, falling rocks, falling snow, and falling branches. Guests are asked to be fully aware of the risks associated with mountain climbing before participating. Guides may not be held responsible for any accidents that occur during activities.

Regarding rental equipment: Binoculars are available for free rental. Please let us know if you would like to rent them when you register.
Duration: The entire tour takes approximately 7.5 hours. Experience time: 3.5 hours Lunch and break: 1 hour Travel time (round trip): 3 hours

Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations 14 day(s) (inclusive) before the selected date are allowed. Unused orders can be canceled for free
- For cancellations made 8 to 13 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 30% will apply
- For cancellations made 2 to 7 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 50% will apply
- For cancellations made 1 to 1 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 80% will apply
- Cancellation is not allowed between 0–0 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
NOTE
- Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy. Once your refund request is confirmed, KKday will initiate the refund to your original payment method within 15 days. The actual refund timing depends on your card-issuing bank’s policy.
