In this experience, you will receive a lecture on Japanese swords, learn forms (how to cut), practice sparring, try archery, and experience cutting with a practice sword. For the test cutting, you will cut multiple targets while moving using a practice sword, which is quite challenging. Please come and experience the difficulty for yourself! The instructor is Yoshioki Sumita, a Shihan-dai (assistant master) of the All Japan Toyama-ryu Iaido Federation. With over 27 years of experience, he has taught at overseas branches in the United States, Europe, and Hong Kong. He is one of the few masters in the world who has deeply mastered and continues to pass down both Kenjutsu and Yabusame (horseback archery). Iaido teaches sword handling, Gekiken teaches distance and offensive/defensive techniques against an opponent, and Battodo teaches the proper blade angle (cutting edge). ～Schedule of the day: Timing may vary depending on the number of participants～ ① Demonstration (3 minutes) ② Lecture on swords (20 minutes) ③ Changing into training clothes (10 minutes) ④ Iaido lesson (20 minutes) ⑤ Gekiken lesson (20 minutes) ⑥ Kyujutsu lesson (20 minutes) ⑦ Test cutting with a practice sword (20 minutes) ⑧ Certificate presentation (5 minutes) ⑨ Changing back into street clothes (10 minutes)

- I am a Shihan-dai at the headquarters dojo of the All Japan Toyama-ryu Iaido Federation and also a Shihan-dai for Yabusame, where I perform mounted archery in full armor. For the past 20 years, I have traveled to our overseas branches in the US, Europe, and Asia several times a year to provide instruction. I have also overseen test-cutting experiences for over 3,000 people and have hosted foreign VIPs through embassies. This experience is not for entertainment or street performance; I teach authentic swordsmanship and spirit. If you want to learn the correct way and study the real thing, please join us.
- A one-stop experience covering the basics of Kenjutsu and Kyujutsu, the primary martial arts of the Samurai
- You will experience the basics of three fields: Iaido, Gekiken, and blade technique. Before the practice, we will hold a lecture to deepen your understanding of swords. In Iaido, you will use a practice sword to learn how to draw and sheath the sword. In Gekiken, you will practice sparring using a specialized bamboo sword (shinai). In the Kyujutsu lesson, you will shoot at targets using the same bows and arrows used in actual Yabusame. In the blade technique lesson, you will verify your cutting angle.
- Certificate of Completion issued
- Participants who complete this experience will be issued a certificate from the Toyama-ryu Bizen-kai.

Please arrive 20–30 minutes before your scheduled time.
We have had cases where guests did not arrive even after waiting for two hours past their scheduled time.

Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations 2 day(s) (inclusive) before the selected date are allowed. Unused orders can be canceled for free
- Cancellation is not allowed between 0–1 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
NOTE
- Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy. Once your refund request is confirmed, KKday will initiate the refund to your original payment method within 15 days. The actual refund timing depends on your card-issuing bank’s policy.
