This is a surfing experience on the beautiful beaches of Tanegashima, a mecca for surfing. The event will take place on the beach in front of Takezaki Observatory at the Tanegashima Space Center. This plan includes board and wetsuit rental during the lesson. (Wetsuits are not required in the summer.) Your instructor will provide thorough instruction, so even beginners can ride the waves. You will receive a photo taken during the lesson as a gift. The meeting point is on-site (at the beach in front of Takezaki Observatory at the Tanegashima Space Center). Please note that the location may change depending on the weather. Transportation is not provided. Please come by car, bus, or taxi. Bring beach gear, such as a large bath towel, swimsuit, rash guard or a T-shirt that can get wet, leggings, and beach sandals. If you wear contact lenses, please bring spare lenses. If you are prone to motion sickness, please bring motion sickness medication.

The event will be held at Takezaki Observatory Beach, where you will find a strange rock formation known as the Elephant's Water-Drinking Rock, a famous spot on Tanegashima Island. You can experience surfing in a magnificent setting. Depending on the conditions, we may change to a different spot. The best spot for the day will be chosen for the experience. *Please let us know if you have a preferred spot.
