- Itinerary introduction -

  • Arima Onsen
Arima Onsen has Kin-sen and Gin-sen, and is one of the three oldest hot springs in Japan. After the hot spring gushing out, the iron-containing chloride spring comes into contact with the air and turns reddish brown, so it is called Kin-sen (Gold hot spring). Other hot springs that remain transparent are called Gin-sen (Silver hot spring).
There are three famous hot springs here: Taiko no Yu, Kin no Yu, and Gin no Yu. Among them, Kin no Yu has a foot bath next to the old hot spring street, so that tourists can enjoy the fun of foot bathing in the hot spring for free. And the fee is reasonable too. You can easily enjoy it if you want to soak in the onsen. After enjoying the hot spring, you can visit the old hot spring street with a very nostalgic feeling. Eat the local famous snack, Tansan-senbei, and stroll and walk on the quaint streets.

  • Rokkosan-mountain Observatory
Rokko Mountain is located on the north side of Kobe and is the largest outdoor leisure resort in the Kansai region. It is designated as the Seto Inland Sea National Park where you can enjoy the changes in the beauty of nature throughout the year. The high altitude of Mt. Rokko Observatory allows you to have a panoramic view of Kobe Port. In good weather, you can even see the streetscape along Osaka Bay and the coastline of Wakayama in the distance.

  • Kobe Port
Kobe Port is an important hub port in Japan. The port opened on January 1, 1868, and it was an area where foreigners lived in the Meiji era, so it is full of exotic atmosphere. MOSAIC is located in a shopping mall by the seaside of Kobe Port. In addition to enjoying shopping, the outdoor stairs on the second floor allow you to enjoy the perfect location of the panoramic view of Kobe Port. There are also iconic architectural landscapes of Kobe Port such as Mosaic Garden, Kobe Port Tower, Kobe Maritime Museum and Mosaic Ferris Wheel. Spend a leisurely afternoon here as you feel the sea breeze caressing you and stroll through several landmarks.

  • Kitano Ijinkan
Ijinkan refers to the residence of foreigners with a Western style, and there were more than 300 Ijinkan in its heyday. There are only 30 preserved buildings, so it has been designated as an important preservation area for traditional buildings. In these Injin Museums, each Injin Museum has its own ticket, you can find the Injin Museum you want to visit according to your own preferences. In particular, the Kazami Chicken Museum and the Moe Yellow Museum are the most famous, and have been designated as important cultural properties. You can also take pictures at Kitanocho Plaza with the Kazami Chicken Pavilion as the background. The unique design will make you linger and immerse yourself in the unique culture of Kobe with a Western atmosphere.
