Stroll along the West Central District filled with Vintage local food delicacies. From the bowl rice cake of Fusheng Hao, to the gelato Classico of Ninao and the fresh fruit ice cream of Tai Cheng Fruit Shop, all have their own signature dishes.

Next, pay a visit to The Eternal Golden Castle, formerly known as the Anping Fort, got its name the Eternal Golden Castle because the inscription by Shen Baozhen is displayed above the entrance. Take in the 5-meter high castle, surrounded by greenery, with its red brick wall and arch gate and giant Armstrong gun, appreciate the depth of its local history.

Drop by at Anping treehouse for a view of the warehouse built during the early days of Japanese rule in the 19th Century. It was the site of a salt company first by the Japanese and later by the Taiwanese after WWII. When it was no longer in use after its occupants moved out, the banyan tree grew wild and came to embrace and strangle with the building.
