Established in 1983, Bokuden is an izakaya (Japanese pub) that boasts affordability and delicious food! Homemade flavors only possible in a small, independent restaurant! A retro atmosphere! Smoking is permitted outside on the first floor and on the second-floor balcony! Recommended specialties include horse sashimi directly shipped from Aizu-Wakamatsu, doteyaki (beef tendon stew) simmered in Morita's red miso that has been continuously added to since the restaurant's founding, and Shin Bokuden's specialty, tender tongue with green onion and salt sauce. All at reasonable prices! Complimentary drinks for those who order food: Green tea highball & oolong highball for 199 yen per glass (medium size).
Our most popular dish is our ≪Horse Sashimi≫! We offer super fresh horse meat delivered directly from Aizu-Wakamatsu at the reasonable price of 699 yen. The reason for the low price is that we have been purchasing horse meat for 35 years. Even though it is reasonably priced, the meat is cut thickly, so it is a very satisfying dish. Our ≪Horse Sashimi≫ has a different appeal from that of Kumamoto, so if you come here, you must try it!
