Product Info

- Restaurant Introduction -
A 2-minute walk from Higashi-ginza Station. Welcome to our long-established stew specialty restaurant, founded in 1955! Perfect for post-theater dining or girls' night out.◎

Gin no To features an impressive storefront, renovated from a pre-war storehouse, that exudes a nostalgic Showa-era atmosphere. We take pride in our stews and gratins, serving the same flavors since our founding in 1955! Enjoy our rich yet refreshing 'stew' made with seasonal ingredients. Please pair it with our mini-set featuring a creamy white sauce 'gratin'.◎ This nostalgic taste has been beloved by many Kabuki-za actors. We look forward to welcoming you for post-theater meals or gatherings with friends.
The menu only has two dishes that have maintained the same taste since the restaurant first opened. The "stew" served in a clay pot uses the same ingredients, but the ingredients are carefully selected and the supplier is changed according to the season. There are four types, including beef, tongue and vegetables, as well as the recommended "mix" which contains everything. The stew is simmered slowly and carefully, and the scum is carefully removed, so it is rich yet refreshing, and goes well with Ishikawa Prefecture's Koshihikari rice. How about a mini set with a mini gratin?

"Gratin" is baked with plenty of Parmesan cheese on top. Its delicious aroma will whet your appetite. The creamy white sauce is accented with shrimp, fried shiitake mushrooms, and chopped onions. As with the stew, we carefully select ingredients that are in season. People are often surprised at first, but we recommend eating it with rice for a very satisfying after-meal taste. ◎ Customers who have been coming for three generations say that the taste has not changed since the old days.
