Soc Son District

The county seat of Fengshan County was established in Xinglong Zhuang, which roughly corresponds to today's Zuoying District in Kaohsiung City. Its administrative area once covered parts of present-day Kaohsiung City, extending east to Xiadanshui River (now Yanshui River), west to Dagushan Port (Kaohsiung Port), south to Shamajitou, and north to Wenxianli Erzanxing River (now Erren River).

Fengshan County boasts rich historical relics. The most famous is the Old City of Fengshan County (Zuoying Old City), one of the oldest surviving city walls in Taiwan, which bears witness to Taiwan's early development history. Additionally, sites like Chenghuang Temple and Confucius Temple will allow you to feel the profound historical and cultural heritage of Fengshan County.
