The bus ride was quite long, but we had restroom breaks almost every hour and a half, and the tour guide would remind us how long it would take to get to the next restroom stop. Our tour guide, Jingjing, was very responsible and explained the sights along the way, pointing out the best views and shopping spots. She was very considerate of the group. However, perhaps due to company policy, they pushed for a promotional itinerary, suggesting some optional activities from the first day. I recommend deciding which activities you'll want to visit and which you won't before you leave. A little research can save you a lot of money. In our experience, we didn't need to purchase the night tour on the first day; we could explore on our own. (A 24-hour Las Vegas RTC bus pass is only $8 and can be purchased with cash on the bus or by Uber.) You can consider purchasing it later if you're traveling alone (it's $40 with a tour group). The South Canyon iMax movie, a 30-minute film in English without subtitles, explains the formation of the Grand Canyon and its indigenous history. If I had to choose again, I wouldn't go to the movie; I'd just buy lunch near the theater. I highly recommend the optional Lower Antelope Canyon tour; you can tell from the photos that it's a must-do. The tour will be divided into groups of 15, each with a local guide (who speaks English). I recommend following the guide for excellent explanations. For the Las Vegas show, we purchased our tickets online for the KA show because they had a promotion, so it only cost $91 (seats in rows 5 and 6, DD). The tour group cost $135 (I'm not sure of the row numbers). The Flyover Las Vegas show, which is said to be a 25-minute 3D movie, cost $32, but I didn't attend, so I can't comment.
I was originally considering driving, but this tour felt much easier. The local tour group, MAX TOUR, was excellent. Our guide, Justin, was incredibly caring and enthusiastic. We were provided with unlimited water and snacks along the way, and the guide also helped with photos. The scenery was breathtaking, and I highly recommend it! Thanks so much, Justin, you are the best!
I enjoyed a six-day, five-night tour of the national parks of the western United States, led by James Li. The itinerary was comprehensive, and the explanations were informative and clear. The explanations were available in Chinese, English, and Cantonese, making it easy for participants with different language skills to understand. The pace of the tour was moderate, and the duration was perfectly managed, allowing everyone ample time to enjoy the scenery and take photos. Overall, even though the tour was a bit of a whirlwind, it was a relaxing, enjoyable, and fulfilling experience.
