The tour guide was very professional throughout, providing a multilingual tour that included speaking three languages. The tour took place in the countryside, even in wind and rain, in areas generally inaccessible to the general public. The overall coastal views were stunning, and the few safety bridges along the way were worth walking across. The 2-3 hour free time in Otaru was fantastic, allowing for a leisurely experience. It's recommended to buy Shiroi Koibito (White Lover) on-site in Otaru, where you can sample it and enjoy the open kitchen. Shiroi Koibito Park is best enjoyed as a visit!
Small group trip on a 12-person bus. Only 2 hours from Sapporo. Must visit on a sunny day. Hike for about 30 minutes to the tip. It is very windy, so it is not recommended if weather is not good. Can consider skipping the ski lift stop and spend more time at the distillery.
Before setting off, I checked the weather forecast and the chance of rain was 100%. Luckily, it only started raining at the end of today's trip. I am very grateful to Xiao Du, who also served as my driver and tour guide, for his warm and thoughtful service. He allowed me, a solo traveler, to take beautiful photos with the cherry blossoms in Hokkaido. I was also lucky to meet kind and warm-hearted group members, which left me with unforgettable memories. It was a happy and lucky day!
The timing and locations on this itinerary are very well arranged. Cape Kamui is truly beautiful, and although the drive was long, it was well worth it!
