This was our first trip to Shikoku, and public transportation to some attractions wasn't very convenient, so we decided to hire a car, which turned out to be the best option! We slept soundly on the bus and had plenty of energy to enjoy ourselves afterward! 🥳 We're both Taiwanese, and we were assigned a driver from China who spoke Mandarin, so communication was seamless and we felt very comfortable. We hired the car for two days. One day we went to Takaya Shrine, and the driver took us directly to the highest point, where we only had to walk a short distance to see the beautiful scenery (we heard it's not possible to drive up there every day). There was also a section of the road where passing other vehicles was extremely difficult, thankfully we didn't drive ourselves! The other day we went to Tokushima, and the driver helped us see the whirlpools! ❤️ We were very happy and grateful! ☺️ The car was also in excellent condition; for four people traveling together, I recommend the seven-seater, it was very comfortable – highly recommended!
I used to think that whirlpools were naturally large, but I learned that's not the case when I was on the boat. It was really fun to find the whirlpools myself.
