I loved feeding the seagulls! The stops at the attractions were short, and it was a shame we didn't have time to see everything. If you want to go, you should probably plan your itinerary in advance. I also hope the itinerary can be more specific about the times. Our guide, Xiao Zhao, was very friendly. We were lucky to have good weather, and the Amanohashidate and boat houses were both very beautiful. A day trip avoids the hassle of long journeys. The sea train section was okay because the view from the front of the station was great; otherwise, I would have preferred reserved seats.
We had so much fun that one day wasn't enough. Feeding the seagulls was a particularly enjoyable first-time experience, but I recommend bringing gloves because their beaks can sometimes hit your hand and cause injury if you feed them too many times.
Trip was well paced from Kyoto. However, I thought it would be too much bus time for those from Osaka. Weather was a bit of a let down so if there were some sale of daiso raincoat , it would have felt more thoughtful. In terms of food recommendation at Amanohasidate, more could be said on the bus trip before orders were taken for the ‘convenient’ katsu restaurant at gathering point. For example , the hilltop restaurant was lovely. Guides were kind and polite. Locations are nice with great nature/air but slightly off by gloomy weather and off season energy of closed shops. Cruise is a must - feeding eagles were energizing.
kkday is very good, we are willing to open a tour when we sign up for 4 people, so we charter a tour😆. A 14-seater tour bus was arranged, and we had a row of seats for 4 of us, which was very comfortable. The tour guide Mr. Lee is friendly and has taken the initiative to whatsapp me a day in advance. The itinerary is well arranged and worth a compliment 👍🏻. This trip does not include meals, we can choose our favorite restaurant, do not have to eat group meals, very flexible ❤️
