Our tour guide Scarlett and the drive were wonderful. Scarlett speaks 3 languages fluently, and gave us a lot information. We saw the major attractions in Kyoto in one day, just wish we can had more time in the Nijo-jo Castle.
Bobo, our Kyoto day tour leader, was incredibly meticulous and professional. He had already divided us into groups, assigned seats on the bus, and double-checked the meeting time and location in the pre-trip message. His explanations of the historical sites were incredibly detailed. Even better, he included recommendations for tourist attractions and restaurants in the message. Although it was raining, the scenery at Kinkaku-ji and Kiyomizu-dera was still breathtaking.
The entire trip was smooth, the vehicle was clean and comfortable, the tour guide was friendly and welcoming, and the driver drove smoothly. The whole journey was enjoyable, and I highly recommend visiting Katsuo-ji Temple.
This was a return visit; I had been there 10 years ago on a tour, but back then we didn't have enough time in Arashiyama. This time, however, we had ample time to complete the entire loop and walk across Togetsukyo Bridge, finally fulfilling my previous regret. The weather was fine despite occasional light drizzle. Our guide, Lion, was excellent, switching between English and Chinese to explain the history and provide superb service. He just walked a bit fast, so I had to jog! The time was perfectly arranged, and the Kinkaku-ji, Kiyomizu-dera, and the torii gates at Inari Shrine were breathtaking!
