Even though it was only a small group of seven, the car arranged by HIS was new, clean, and comfortable. Our guide, Helen, was very professional; she not only shared a lot about the people and things in Hokkaido with us, but she was also a great photographer. The forest fairies on Mount Tairo were beautiful, but unfortunately, we arrived just as some shops were opening, and the famous cafes and bakeries didn't open until noon. However, the handicraft shops that were open were still worth visiting. We even used our Ferris wheel ride voucher to buy ice cream, and discovered that the milk-flavored ice cream was the most delicious we had in Hokkaido.

I signed up for this trip because I wanted to enjoy some delicious cantaloupe and visit the Fairy Terrace. Although the weather wasn't great in the first half of the day, with heavy rain and a slightly worrying journey, and the temperature suddenly dropped (thankfully I brought an umbrella, a jacket, and hand warmers), the sun came out in the second half. I saw a sea of flowers, ate the sweetest boiled corn I've ever had, and the cantaloupe was absolutely amazing! The Fairy Terrace at the end is so beautiful; I wish I could see it illuminated in winter or at night. My husband even joked that the elderly artisans at the Fairy Terrace are like fairies, their focused dedication to their craft is truly admirable. This time it was a 9-seater bus, and the group was almost entirely Taiwanese, with one elderly Japanese couple also in the group. Everyone was very punctual! 👍
