We met at Roma Street at 8:45 and paid 80 yuan for the round-trip ferry fare. Then we boarded the boat, which took about an hour – the boat was incredibly slow! When we arrived at the island, the seawater was absolutely gorgeous, turning a beautiful turquoise. (P.S. You have to wear your swimsuit underneath your clothes first.) As soon as we got off the boat, we had a buffet of Mexican burritos – they were delicious, but you have to get off quickly! That day I was the last one off the boat, so I only had 10 minutes to eat! 😂 After eating, we went sandboarding. My mouth was full of sand, but it was so much fun! I went twice, head first – a little scary, but I still succeeded! You need a little skill. Interestingly, to get to the sandboarding area, you have to take a 30-minute bus ride. Because you have to walk on the sand, the ride is incredibly bumpy, like a roller coaster! (I had a lot of fun, but your butt really gets thrown off! 😂😂😂😂) Then we went snorkeling. It was my first time snorkeling, and I was actually a little scared. I was afraid of the water depths where you can't touch the ground. A speedboat takes you to a little further out in the ocean. Surprisingly, the water wasn't as deep as I expected; you could actually stand on the ground. Because I was scared, I held onto the lifebuoy the instructor was holding! xd Then I wasn't afraid at all because I'm the kind of person who has trouble controlling my direction in the water. Wearing a life jacket and holding onto lifebuoys while kayaking, I had a bit of a hard time keeping in sync with my partner 😂 because you need to work really hard together to move in the same direction. Anyway, I kept getting rescued by the instructor, haha, but it's okay, even if you can't hold the boat well, the instructor will still save you 🤣🤣🤣 Anyway, it was a lot of fun, not super tiring, better than I imagined. For me, the most tiring part was sandboarding and walking up the slope, which was already very tiring haha. The instructor was funny and responsible, thumbs up! It was fun!
