Saint-Tropez: RYA Powerboat Level 2 Skill Assessment｜France

RYA Powerboat Level 2 – Half-Day Skill Assessment

Already an experienced powerboat user? This 1/2-day RYA Skill Assessment is for experienced boaters who want to obtain the internationally recognised RYA Powerboat Level 2 Certificate without attending the full 2-day course. The qualification is recognised by boat rental companies in France and valued by yacht industry recruiters.

The assessment takes place at Les Marines de Cogolin, in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. It is fully practical on the water: you take the helm and demonstrate your ability to handle a powerboat safely and confidently under the guidance of a qualified RYA instructor.

Before the practical assessment, you complete a 24-question quiz covering the essential theoretical knowledge required for RYA Powerboat Level 2. Together, the quiz and practical assessment allow your instructor to assess your knowledge and boating skills.

What will you be assessed on?
You will demonstrate the theoretical and practical skills required by the RYA Powerboat Level 2 syllabus, including boat handling, manoeuvring, safety procedures, and essential practical knowledge.

Need to refresh your skills first?
You can extend the session with practical or theoretical refresher training focused on the areas you wish to review. This personalised coaching can be adapted to your experience and the specific skills you would like to practise.

An internationally recognised RYA qualification:
Tropez Sea Academy is an official RYA Recognised Training Centre. The Royal Yachting Association (RYA) is the UK's national body for boating and is internationally recognised for the quality of its training and qualifications.
