Product Info

Climb aboard one of our comfortable RIBs, sheltered from the sun and sea spray, and set off to discover beautiful Amedee Island, just a 40-minute boat ride from Noumea.

Once there, get your cameras ready and prepare to be amazed!

Located in the heart of a protected marine reserve, Amedee Island is renowned for its crystal-clear waters and exceptional marine life.

Grab your mask and snorkel and explore a true natural aquarium. Adults and children alike can discover colorful coral reefs, tropical fish and, with a little luck, swim alongside turtles in their natural environment.

With more than 150 species of fish found in the waters surrounding Amedee Island, every snorkeling experience offers something new to discover.

Relax on the beach, explore the lagoon and enjoy an unforgettable day in one of New Caledonia’s most beautiful marine environments.

On land, discover the island’s iconic 56-metre-high Amédée Lighthouse, offering spectacular views over the world’s largest lagoon and part of the barrier reef.

Access to the lighthouse requires a separate pass (XPF 300 per person). Please note that the lighthouse is not open to visitors every day, and as its opening schedule is managed independently, we cannot guarantee access during your visit.

Amédée Island is also an important sanctuary for wildlife. It is home to six species of seabirds, including the Nereis tern and the black-naped tern, which nest in the northwestern part of the island.

As you explore, you’ll also discover the typical vegetation of New Caledonia’s islets, including seaside plants and native coastal species.

Amedee Island is part of a Sustainable Resource Management Area (AGDR) protected by the Southern Province, making it a remarkable place to discover and preserve.

And when it’s time for lunch, enjoy a gourmet picnic by the lagoon, featuring a delicious sandwich made with artisan bread and a dessert prepared by one of Noumea’s renowned bakery-patisseries.
