Located near Jozankei Onsen, the Jozankei Dam is a prime spot for autumn foliage, where the mountains are painted in vibrant shades of red, yellow, and orange. Private vehicles are prohibited from the Cold Water Tunnel to the dam area. Passengers must transfer to an electric bus at the parking lot before the tunnel. Looking from the Hoheikyo Observatory, the fiery red maple trees, the majestic dam, and the yellow and red leaves clinging to the steep cliffs form a natural and beautiful landscape, making it easy to take photos that look like postcards! Private vehicles are prohibited from the Cold Water Tunnel to the dam site. Passengers must transfer to an electric bus at the parking lot before the tunnel.
