Day 1:
Discover Elsen Tasarkhai, also known as the "Mini Gobi," a unique combination of sand dunes, green meadows, and bodies of water in the middle of Mongolia.
UB to Elsen Tasarkhai 280 km. /4 hours/
Visit the old capital of Kharhorin, or Karakorum, the ancient capital city of the Mongol Empire during the 13th-14th centuries. Admire the Erdene Zuu Monastery, a 16th-century monastery. UB to Kharkhorin around 360 km. /5 hours/.
Itinerary
06:30 am. Pick up in your location. Drive to Kharkorin
09:00 am. Break time. Breakfast and toilet
11:00 am. Stop point location 2 times. Toilet and supermarket.
11:15 am. Arrive at Elsen Tasarkhai, walk in the Semi-Gobi, and ride a camel.
12:30 pm. Drive to Kharkhorin
01:30 pm. Arrive in Kharkhorin, Lunch time
02:30 pm. Discover to Erdene-zuu monastery. Visit to ancient capital of Kharkorin.
04:00 pm. Visit to Kharkhorin museum
05:00 pm. Drive to Best Guest House in Kharkhorin to stay in a traditional Mongolian yurt (ger), or drive for another hour to a local nomadic family at Elsen Tasarkhai. We will discuss the accommodation choice with you.
06:00 pm. Drop off at your accommodation in a Mongolian ger. Stay for one night.
07:00 pm. Dinner.
08:00 pm. Free time enjoy in countryside

08:30 am. Drive to Ulaanbaatar
