- Trip Introduction -

.Longpan Park
Located on the Hengchun Peninsula in Pingtung County, at approximately the 40.5 km mark of the E'jia Highway, Longpan Park is an uplifted limestone plateau. In addition to well-developed limestone karst topography—such as collapsed cliffs, sinkholes, and limestone caves—the area is mostly covered by grassland vegetation influenced by the northeast monsoon, offering a very expansive view. You can overlook the winding coastline and steep cliffs. In the morning, you can enjoy the colorful sunrise, and due to the lack of light pollution, it has become an excellent spot for stargazing.

.Eluanbi
Eluanbi is located at the southernmost tip of the plateau at the end of the Central Mountain Range. The Eluanbi Lighthouse, standing 21.4 meters tall, is the most magnificent of all the lighthouses around Taiwan and is known as the Light of East Asia, having been designated as a historical site preservation area. Eluanbi Park features coral limestone topography with unique geographical landscapes, including strange rocks, giant reefs, caves, and rich flora and fauna. Every September, the spectacular sight of migrating grey-faced buzzards attracts large numbers of bird enthusiasts.

.Chuanfan Rock
Between Kenting and Eluanbi, a giant reef stands alone on the coast. From a distance, it looks like a sailing boat, hence the name Chuanfan Rock (Sail Rock). Standing about 18 meters high, it is an old coral reef that rolled down from the plateau above to the seaside. Because its rock quality is harder than the initial uplifted coral reefs nearby, it remained standing in the sea after the other coral reefs were eroded. The other giant coral reefs visible from the top of the plateau serve as proof of this.

.Shell Sand Island
This is the purest shell sand beach on the Hengchun Peninsula, mostly consisting of shell sand and star sand, with a calcium carbonate content of up to 98%. In the early days, because it was not protected, it was often taken away in bags, and even transported out by trucks for sale, causing serious damage. Today, to protect this world-class beach, it has been designated as a protected area, and visitors are prohibited from going onto the beach. However, the Kenting National Park Headquarters has built a small Shell Sand Exhibition Hall, allowing visitors to still catch a glimpse of the past beauty of Shell Sand Island.

.National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium
Located in Checheng Township, Pingtung County, at the foot of Guishan Mountain in the northwest corner of Kenting National Park, the National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium is nestled between the mountains and the sea. Its mission is to maintain and preserve a complete island and marine ecological environment. Covering a total area of about 60 hectares, the main facilities are divided into three exhibition halls: the Waters of Taiwan, the Coral Kingdom, and the Waters of the World. The exhibition content is rich and diverse, making it definitely worth a visit.

.Hongchaikeng Semi-Submarine
Hongchaikeng is the first village you encounter when heading to the western coast within Hengchun Town, and it is a small seaside port. The Little Dolphin semi-submarine is located in this fishing port. The sailing area mainly covers the waters of Hongchaikeng and Wanlitong, which are very popular diving spots with abundant marine life. Through the specially designed sightseeing semi-submarine, you can easily enjoy the underwater scenery.

・Baishawan (White Sand Bay)
Baishawan in Kenting National Park is a shell sand beach composed of marine biological shells, about 500 meters long and 40 meters wide, with uniform, sparkling, and bright sand grains. It is suitable for swimming, diving, sailing, and jet skiing all year round. Most notably, this is the beach where the movie Cape No. 7 was filmed—the scene where A-Chia and the heroine embrace—and it is also the place where the tiger came ashore in Life of Pi, attracting many tourists to take photos as a souvenir.

.Maobitou
Maobitou is the boundary point between the Taiwan Strait and the Bashi Channel. Subjected to long-term wave erosion, sand abrasion, and dissolution, it is a typical coral reef coastal erosion terrain, featuring unique landscapes such as potholes, reef pillars, and interlayer caves. This area possesses world-class beach rock topography and has been designated as a special scenic area of the national park.

.Guanshan Sunset
Guanshan, also known as Gaosanyan, is entirely composed of uplifted coral reefs and stands at an altitude of about 152 meters. The summit offers a wide view, looking north to see the complete profile of the Dapingding inclined plateau (188 meters high) and the beautiful scenery of the fishing villages along the way. To the east, you can overlook the beautiful scenery of Longluan Lake and Nanwan-Eluanbi, making it an excellent spot in Kenting National Park for viewing the sunset.
