Under Japanese law, the driver's license must have been issued in a country or region that is a signatory to the Geneva Convention and must be in the format prescribed by that convention (※), so customers who do not have an applicable driver's license cannot use this product.
*Depending on the country or region, even if it is a member of the Geneva Convention, the license may be issued in a format based on the Vienna Convention. In this case, the license does not fall under the "prescribed format" above (you will not be able to drive).
Please note that if you hold a driver's license from Taiwan, Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium or Monaco, you will need to attach a Japanese translation prepared by the license issuing agency in that country or region, or by an embassy or consulate in Japan.
Please note that there are other restrictions, such as the validity period being calculated from the date of landing in Japan (the validity period of an international driver's license is one year from the date of issue) or the validity period of the license itself, whichever is shorter. In the event of bad weather such as heavy rain or a typhoon, the course will be cancelled and rescheduled to the alternative time you provided when booking. If the alternative time is not available, we will give you a full refund.
Akiba Kart Shinjuku offers free rental of various cosplay costumes. You can also bring your own costume. Please refrain from wearing high heels, shoes with wooden soles, or long skirts.
Only one person may ride in one cart (minicar).
No refunds or liability will be offered if pregnant passengers wish to travel.
