KKDay tickets made this trip a wonderful experience. The Narita Limited Express went directly to Shinagawa, and then you could transfer to the JR line just one stop to Gotanda, which was really convenient. Plus, the price was discounted for foreigners, and the hotel was very close to the station. It was truly a perfect trip.
The itinerary around Mt. Fuji included a short 10-minute matcha tea experience at Lake Kawaguchi. A small path leads to the beautiful Lake Kawaguchi and the stunning Mt. Fuji Shrine, which also boasts amazing views. Climbing the 400 steps wasn't too tiring, and the scenery was worthwhile. To conclude, you can see an outlet mall with many shops. The view of Mt. Fuji from this side is from another direction and is equally beautiful. The tour guide was very nice. The only downside was the severe traffic on the way back; my butt hurt a bit. However, the tour guide explained that it was due to a holiday, so if you plan to go, try to avoid weekends, otherwise you might have the same problem on the way back.
The weather forecast predicted rain in Tokyo, but it turned snowing near Mount Fuji. Absolutely stunning! I loved it! We visited all the famous sights on the itinerary, and although we didn't see Mount Fuji, the snow scenery was still beautiful! Our tour guide, Ms. Koharu, was incredibly kind, attentive, and energetic; she speaks Korean, Japanese, and Chinese fluently. The tour bus was quite comfortable and clean, better than I expected. We slept on the bus and stopped to walk and eat, which was super convenient and eliminated any transportation worries. Highly recommended!
