Built in the 18th century, Xingtian Temple is an ancient temple dedicated to the City God with a long history. The temple features magnificent architecture with ornate beams and painted pillars, creating an imposing atmosphere. It is the most visited temple in Northern Taiwan, with up to ten thousand visitors daily. The temple houses a main hall for the City God and various other halls for different deities. To provide a clean environment for worship, the temple advocates against burning incense and joss paper, allowing devotees to pray in peace.

You may refer to the following worship procedure to pray for peace.
Step 1: At the front eaves of the front hall, press your palms together, pay respects to Heaven, and silently recite: 'Disciple [Name], [Age] years old this year, residing at [Address], have come to Xingtian Temple today to pay respects to Heaven, the Jade Emperor, the Five Sages, and the Buddhas and Immortals of the Three Teachings, and humbly request their peace.'
Step 2: At the main hall, press your palms together and silently recite: 'Disciple [Name], [Age] years old this year, residing at [Address], have come to Xingtian Temple today to pay respects to the Five Sages and the Buddhas and Immortals of the Three Teachings, and humbly request their peace.'
Step 3: In front of the kneeling cushion in the main hall, perform the 'Three Kneels and Nine Bows' ritual of gratitude. First, press your palms together in prayer, kneel before the prayer stool; men should keep palms facing down while bowing three times, and women should keep palms facing up while bowing three times. Repeat this sequence three times.
Step 4: At the left side of the main hall, press your palms together and silently recite: 'Disciple [Name], [Age] years old this year, residing at [Address], have come to Xingtian Temple today to pay respects to the Crown Prince Guan, and humbly request his peace.'

The Songjiang Road Fortune Telling Street has been established for over 30 years. In the early days, thanks to the endless stream of visitors to Xingtian Temple, many people would visit the fortune tellers after drawing lots at the temple to confirm their answers. Because many masters were remarkably accurate in their predictions, their reputation spread, attracting media and celebrities from Japan, Hong Kong, and South Korea to visit for readings and filming.
