From Zuoying (Kaohsiung) HSR Station, visitors can take a direct shuttle bus or a local taxi to Donggang Ferry Terminal. The journey from Zuoying to Donggang typically takes about 30-40 minutes. Once at Donggang, board a public or private ferry for the short ride to Xiaoliuqiu Island.
Divers around Xiaoliuqiu Island can expect to encounter a vibrant array of marine life, most notably a large population of green sea turtles, which are frequently spotted. Other common sightings include diverse clownfish species among various anemones, colorful coral reefs, and numerous tropical reef fish, offering rich underwater experiences.
A PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (AOW) course on Xiaoliuqiu typically covers core skills like deep diving and underwater navigation, which are mandatory.
