－ THSR Ticket Information －

  • Adult: Tickets to be purchased by passengers aged 12 and over.

  • Senior Ticket: Citizens aged 65 and over (based on the date of travel) who hold a National ID card or a government-issued photo ID containing the ID number and date of birth.

  • Concession Ticket: Citizens holding a Disability Certificate (pink). (The 'Necessary Companion Discount' field on the back of the certificate must state 'Domestic Public Transportation' to be eligible for a concession ticket for one necessary companion.)

  • Child Ticket: Children under 12 may purchase a child ticket. However, children under 12 who are taller than 150 cm must present proof of age.

  • Free Child: Children under 115 cm in height, or children over 115 cm but under 6 years old with proof of age, may travel for free if they do not occupy a seat. (Those occupying a seat must purchase a child ticket.) Free children must be accompanied by an adult passenger, and each passenger is limited to two free children.

How to Use

- How to use high-speed rail during holidays -

  • Taiwan High Speed ​​Rail
  1. Please use your physical ticket or mobile e-ticket to enter the high-speed rail station.
  2. High-speed rail reservations are only open for dates within 29 days of your travel date. If your travel date is not within 29 days, your reservation will be made and sent out after the reservation period opens.
  3. Each passenger in the same order is limited to boarding/alighting at the same station; they cannot board/alight at different stations.
  4. High Speed ​​Rail (HSR) holiday tickets are special packages with specific rules regarding the origin and destination stations. For example, if you choose to depart from Taipei Station and stay at a hotel in Kaohsiung, your outbound ticket will be from Taipei to Zuoying, and your return ticket will be from Zuoying to Taipei. No refunds will be given for getting off midway, and if you miss your stop, you will need to pay the difference according to the official HSR fare announcement.
  5. The high-speed rail tickets for this project are discounted tickets and are only valid for designated trains on the same day.

  1. According to the regulations for high-speed rail holiday tickets, no refunds may be made for any single leg of the journey.
  2. All ticket refunds must be processed through KKday; ticket windows at all high-speed rail stations cannot process refunds or exchanges.
  3. Note: According to the regulations for high-speed rail holiday tickets, if multiple people book the same order at the same time, and need to refund or exchange tickets, they must all apply for refunds or exchanges together. Individual refunds or exchanges cannot be processed, and all refund, exchange, and ticket change fees will be charged. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.


- High-speed rail holiday cancellation policy -

  • If you need to cancel your order, please contact KKday customer service first.
  • Due to administrative processing time, the cancellation policy will be based on the text below KKday. Order cancellation applications will only be accepted between 08:30 and 16:00 daily. Applications submitted after this time will be considered as applications submitted one day later.
  • If you have already purchased a high-speed rail ticket, an additional cancellation fee of NTD 20 per ticket will be charged (round-trip tickets are counted as 2 tickets).
  • Free cancellation for orders placed more than eight days before departure (excluding the departure date). For orders placed seven to four days before departure (excluding the departure date), a cancellation fee of 30% of the total cost will be charged.
  • If you notify us of a change or cancellation within three days prior to the departure date (excluding the departure date), a cancellation fee of 70% of the total cost will be charged. If you notify us of a change or cancellation on the departure date itself, a cancellation fee of 100% of the total cost will be charged.
  • (For example: If you are departing on December 8th, you can change or cancel your order before November 30th for free; if you change or cancel your order between December 1st and 4th, a 30% handling fee will be charged; if you change or cancel your order between December 5th and 7th, a 70% handling fee will be charged.)
