- Attraction Introduction -

The Maokong Gondola is the first gondola system in Taipei City. It uses an automatic circulation system manufactured by the French company POMA. The gondola is 4.03 kilometers long and takes about 30 minutes one way. There are four stations along the line: "Zoo Station", "Zoo South Station", "Zhinan Temple Station" and "Maokong Station" for passengers to get on and off.

The three most beautiful moments to ride the cable car are during the post-rain mist, the sunset at dusk, and the dazzling night view. As you ride the cable car and ascend with the undulating terrain, you can see the MRT trains moving along, the riverside park along the Jingmi Creek, and the Giraffe Incinerator. When you reach the second station, there will be a sharp turn, where the view opens up and you can overlook the traffic on the highway. After passing the Zhinangong station, you will enter a steep V-shaped slope, which is the climax of the cable car journey and a feeling that will leave a lasting impression.

- Introduction to Maokong Local Experience -

Maokong Small-Bottled Tea DIY Experience

  • Tourists often send postcards when visiting scenic spots. Maokong Leisure Agriculture Area started with postcards and came up with a series of tea-related DIY activities, allowing tourists to send a cup of Maokong Tieguanyin tea to distant relatives or friends or themselves. We thoughtfully incorporated a sentimental element into the activity design: in addition to sending a cup of tea, tourists can also write a letter, a sentence, a blessing, or even a single word, and seal it together with a packet of Tieguanyin tea in a specially made postcard envelope before mailing it.

Maokong Tieguanyin Tea Sachet

  • Maokong's unique "Tieguanyin tea," produced through a special process, boasts a clear yellow color, a rich and mellow flavor, a slightly astringent yet sweet taste, and a pure, mild fruity acidity. Even after multiple infusions, its mellow aftertaste remains. Because the appearance of the tea leaves is a key factor in tea competitions, tea farmers carefully select out the coarse stems, old leaves, and tea balls after drying. Through the unique aromas of different tea varieties, combined with floral and herbal scents, you can create your own unique Maokong flavor.
