Penghu Islands

The captain and two assistants were very enthusiastic, providing a wealth of knowledge about the islands, corals, and fish. They were also very proactive in handling any boat malfunctions along the way and were very attentive to our feelings and experiences as passengers. The journey was very pleasant, and we no longer felt like strangers on a group tour. For this, the captain and assistants deserve full marks for their emotional support. 💯

At 9:10 AM, we arrived at the Chihkan Wharf of the Beihai Visitor Center (about 28 minutes from the city center) and took the 9:30 AM speedboat to Jibei Island. The journey took about 15 minutes. We first went to the Yatai Motorbike Rental shop at the bottom of the rental area to pick up our electric scooters. They were very light, but be careful not to overshoot. They took us to the Mudou Island registration area to familiarize ourselves with the location. The island had a great resort atmosphere, and the sun was very strong, so we covered ourselves up. At 1:20 PM, we took a 30-minute boat ride to Mudou Island. The boat had a platform where you could extend your legs to touch the sea. They even fed us anchovies and seagulls, which was a great experience. The journey to the island took about 30 minutes. The sea was incredibly beautiful and clean. We arrived in Jibei at 3:30 PM and returned to Chihkan Wharf at 4:00 PM. The early bird price was excellent, only 765 NTD. It was a very enjoyable day.

The atmosphere was fantastic, there was plenty of time, and they even had mini rice noodles to enjoy 😋

Buying tickets online is convenient and the explanations are clear. Exchanging tickets is also very easy now; overall it's great.

Upon arrival at the ranch, you'll find free seafood porridge and grilled oysters 🦪. After a satisfying meal, you can also go fishing 🎣, which is a lot of fun.

The price was reasonable, and the car's performance was decent. Although it wasn't brand new, it was fine for just getting around. Plus, the owner and the forum moderator were very helpful, offering airport pick-up and drop-off – very thoughtful!

Led by a guide, we ventured into the hidden gems and learned about the local culture and customs. Dongji Island is extremely hot with no shade, but it's well worth a visit. In Qimei, we not only admired the Twin Heart Stone Weir but also visited many photogenic spots. With the accompanying storytelling, we had an even more memorable experience of the island's scenery and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
