Redeeming paper vouchers can get you discount coupons, the best deal being a 500 yen discount on the Mizan Ropeway – it's a steal! However, redeeming paper vouchers is only possible during business hours, which is a bit inconvenient.
The staff in the carriages were all very nice, friendly, attentive, and helpful. The seats and carriages were comfortable and pleasant. However, it would be more convenient if there were better communication and cooperation with the station so that passengers could simply use their boarding pass to enter the gate, or if it could be converted into a ticket, eliminating the need to buy separate tickets for each section. I found this a bit confusing and unclear, and it caused me some slight inconvenience. This is my opinion.
I bought these vouchers during a 50% off sale on KKday and got a 1500 yen ekie voucher, a 1000 yen Bic Camara voucher, and a 1500 yen Hiroshima okonomiyaki voucher. ekie vouchers are very easy to buy; most stores accept them. I used the Bic Camara voucher to buy the electronics I really wanted, and it also offered a triple discount of tax exemption and a full purchase amount. In the evening, I went to eat Hiroshima okonomiyaki, but there were so many tourists making reservations that I couldn't get to eat at any of the restaurants on my wish list. Only one restaurant was left to choose from. The owner was very friendly, but the Hiroshima okonomiyaki wasn't to my taste. I recommend buying these vouchers when you see a promotion. Hiroshima is really great for exploring, with lots of delicious food, and accommodation and transportation are very convenient.
If you're visiting Okayama and the surrounding area from Fukuoka, be sure to buy the 5-day travel pass – it's cheap and practical.
