Our tour guide, Xiao Liu, was excellent. He was attentive and provided detailed explanations of each attraction, keeping us company throughout the trip. The driver drove smoothly, ensuring a safe and enjoyable journey!
Unexpectedly, it rained heavily at each of the three scenic spots we visited, but this did not dampen our spirits. The spots were all easy to walk through and beautiful, and we even managed to take more photos of autumn leaves at Eiboji Temple and Ryushin Waterfall than we had anticipated. Many shops in Magome-juku were closed due to the heavy rain and relatively few tourists. We had a quick lunch and then left. Since our group consisted of six people, there was only the driver, Mr. Deng, and no tour guide. He drove safely throughout the trip and gave detailed instructions on the return journey and reminded us to be careful on the road before each stop at a scenic spot, which was commendable.
Despite the traffic congestion and delays caused by the Cultural Day holiday, and the fact that a traveler who didn't speak Japanese got lost and was delayed by nearly half an hour, tour leader Ms. Zhang did her best to call and find the lost traveler. None of the group members complained; they even cheered the tour leader on when they got off the bus. This trip showed me the kindest side of humanity.
The scenery in the mountains and the Gassho-zukuri villages is beautiful, and the trip is relaxing and enjoyable! Our guide, Tao, is professional and enthusiastic! It's a great itinerary. Perfect for travelers who don't want to drive! You should definitely sign up!
He's not a guide or anything, he just drives. You don't have to drive to Matsume-juku for 2 hours, Tsumago-juku for 1 hour and a half, and Ryujin Falls for 1 hour. You can go comfortably without having to drive. He doesn't speak English, but he kindly provides information through a translator.
