Trip was well paced from Kyoto. However, I thought it would be too much bus time for those from Osaka. Weather was a bit of a let down so if there were some sale of daiso raincoat , it would have felt more thoughtful. In terms of food recommendation at Amanohasidate, more could be said on the bus trip before orders were taken for the ‘convenient’ katsu restaurant at gathering point. For example , the hilltop restaurant was lovely. Guides were kind and polite. Locations are nice with great nature/air but slightly off by gloomy weather and off season energy of closed shops. Cruise is a must - feeding eagles were energizing.
21% of the group were Chinese, and Ms. He led the trip. The family was very satisfied, and the tour leader was considerate of the group members. Due to the hot weather and the lack of comfortable air conditioning on the bus, they urgently contacted another vehicle to arrange for replacement.
We added a photoshoot package to our order for the first time. We chose this studio because we were worried about rain, and if it rained, the photos might not look as good, so we weren't really keen on going. This studio was one of the few that allowed free cancellation a day in advance, giving us some flexibility during our trip! Although there seemed to be a slight mishap during the photographer's consultation, the photographer who did the shoot was very nice and was very helpful with the subsequent retouching!
I really wanted to visit Lake Biwa, the largest lake in Japan, and I had a comfortable and enjoyable trip. I also visited the historic Sanzen-in Temple, where the garden was so beautiful and peaceful that it calmed my mind. The guide provided explanations in both English and Chinese, and was very kind and dedicated, even holding the hand of an older customer when they got off the bus.
