Visiting Kyoto's culture, the small group tour was of very high quality. Our tour guide, Tina, was polite and provided excellent service. It was a great trip.
I joined a one-day tour on July 24th. It was very hot, and the tour leader kept reminding everyone to drink plenty of water. The tour leader's service was excellent, the driver drove steadily, departed on time, followed the itinerary, and the stop times were all correct. Highly recommended.
Although there's space, there are quite a few choices. There might be slightly fewer options for younger boys. Because it was very hot, we all opted for yukatas. Girls could pay extra for flower embroidery, which looked very pretty. The path leads to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, which is a bit of a distance, so I recommend wearing your own shoes to avoid getting tired.
I booked a day tour just before departure, and thankfully the weather was perfect. I was also lucky to meet Nick, who is also from Taoyuan. His relaxed and humorous tour guiding style gave us a basic understanding of the history of the tourist destination, and he felt like a friend. He's a young man with dreams and passion for his work. This day tour saved me the trouble of traveling and finding my way around, and we visited several places in one day, allowing me to leisurely explore other areas on other days. The food was also good. I would definitely choose this day tour again next time.
