I experienced both rafting and off-road vehicles! Both experiences at different companies were great! 🤩 Rafting: They provided welcome drinks and lunch, lockers, and a shuttle to the rafting area 🚣. There was a short walk up some stairs, which was perfect for a good sweat! 🤣 Our guide, Coyote, was very fun and created some little surprises along the way; overall, a great experience! Off-road Vehicles: It was about an 8-minute walk to another company for off-road vehicles. They had self-service drinks while we waited. Initially, the staff noticed they didn't have our booking record, but they immediately helped us contact the local service provider and successfully booked the next session for us. I'm very grateful for their proactive approach, which allowed us to experience the off-road vehicles as planned.
I used this service on June 12, 2026. I stayed at the Japanese-language hotel Kuta and was taken to Ubud by a driver named Srita. He was a very nice person. We left Kuta Hotel at 7:30 and arrived in Ubud before 10:00. If there were no delays, I think we would have arrived around 9:30. Along the way, we stopped at a coffee plantation recommended by Srita, where you can taste 12 kinds of coffee and herbal teas, including civet coffee (about 500 yen per cup), and a basket shop. After that, he took us to places we wanted to go. It rained heavily along the way, but he lent us umbrellas. Srita gave us a very detailed explanation of Tirta Empul Temple, and even though I hadn't really understood temples in Japan, his explanation was very interesting. The cafe we wanted to go to at the rice terraces was extremely crowded, but Srita immediately recommended a different restaurant, which was almost in the same place (next door?) as the crowded one, but it was empty and very nice. The toilets were clean too. They also stopped us for meals and cafes, and the driver waited for us in a completely different location the whole time. We spontaneously decided to explore Ubud, so we asked them to wait for us for about two hours. We left Ubud around 5 PM and, due to heavy traffic, we arrived back at our hotel in Kuta around 8 PM. Since it was a 10-hour plan, we paid an extension fee, which was about 500 yen per hour. I'm so glad I met Srita; it made sightseeing in Ubud so enjoyable. She speaks fluent Japanese and even cracked some surprisingly good dad jokes! Along the way, she taught us all sorts of things about the gods and Bali, so it wasn't boring at all.
Our driver and guide was Kadek. He was friendly and attentive. He brought us to all the places that we wanted to visit and personally guided us at every stop. Telling us about Bali and Ubud, helping us with photo-taking, he truly made our tour very enjoyable! Thanks Kadek!!
