〈STEP 1〉Cruise the open sea!
Cruise through the beautiful seas of Ishigaki Island! Since this is a completely private charter, you can relax without worrying about others. Let the emerald green sea heal your daily fatigue. Please relax during the approximately 50-minute travel time to and from the spot. If you observe the water surface closely, you might see fish jumping, or sea turtles and sea snakes popping their heads out! If you are lucky, you might even encounter dolphins! Be sure to look for them!
〈STEP 2〉Start Gurukun fishing!
After arriving at the spot, we will start fishing for Gurukun. Gurukun is caught using a 'sabiki' rig. There are 6 small hooks under a cage; you put bait called krill into this cage and drop it into the sea. When you jerk the rod to scatter the bait, a school of Gurukun will gather. The Gurukun, attracted by the bait, will bite the hooks scattered along with the krill, allowing you to catch them. Even beginners can catch them easily, so don't worry! When the fish are active, you might catch two, three, or even four or more at once! It's like a carp streamer! Haha.
〈STEP 3〉Turn your catch into dinner!
We have partnered with a local izakaya (Japanese-style pub) where you can have your catch prepared and served! If you would like this service, please enter the 'number of people and date/time' when booking! (Business hours start at 18:00, last entry at 20:00). The captain will take the fish to the izakaya after the tour! *We may not be able to provide this service depending on reservation status or closed days. *Cooking fees are charged separately. *This service is for dinner only.

Regarding tour cancellation:

If we determine that we cannot ensure your safety due to worsening weather or sea conditions, we may cancel the tour. Please note that if weather or sea conditions deteriorate during the tour, we may interrupt the tour and return to port.

Notes for participating in the course:

฀ ① Please be sure to contact us if you are going to be late for the meeting time. ② You must wear a life jacket from boarding until disembarking. ③ For safety reasons, do not stand up or put your hands or feet outside the boat while it is in motion. ④ Do not touch the steering wheel or throttle lever as it is dangerous. ⑤ Please do not bring expensive or important items. ⑥ We are not responsible for any loss or damage to your personal belongings. ⑦ If we determine that there is violence or abusive language toward staff, or any other behavior that hinders the tour, we will immediately interrupt the tour and coordinate with the police or the Japan Coast Guard. ⑧ The risk of heatstroke increases on hot or windless days, so please bring plenty of drinks. ⑨ If you are worried about seasickness, we recommend taking motion sickness medicine in advance. It is said to be most effective when taken 30 minutes to 1 hour before boarding. ฀
