Product Info

Begin your private full-day tour of the Asterousia Mountains in south Crete with pickup from your hotel, villa, or the port in Heraklion, Ammoudara, Hersonissos, or Malia. Travel in a premium 21-seat Mercedes Sprinter with a local English-speaking guide who grew up in these villages.

Visit a dramatic cliff-top monastery overlooking the Libyan Sea, and take in the wild mountain landscapes and remote villages of the Asterousia range. Learn about shepherd traditions, and enjoy a long Cretan table for lunch with home-cooked dishes and local wine.

Visit small chapels, olive groves, and viewpoints over the Libyan Sea, and hear stories about shepherd life, cheese making, and Cretan hospitality. Enjoy plenty of photo stops along the way.
