Product Info

Leave Paris behind for a full day in Normandy and discover the sites of the Allied landings of 6 June 1944.

Depart at 8:00 AM from Place de l'Étoile and travel west through the Norman countryside. During the journey, your guide presents the historical background of Operation Overlord: the planning of the invasion, the five landing beaches, and the role of the American forces in the western sector.

Pointe du Hoc — Explore the clifftop battlefield where 225 US Rangers scaled 30-meter cliffs under fire to neutralize German artillery positions. The site remains scarred by bomb craters and preserved German bunkers, which you can walk through freely.

Omaha Beach — Walk on the sand of the most heavily defended landing sector, codenamed "Bloody Omaha." Your guide explains the events of the first assault waves at Vierville-sur-Mer and Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer, and you can see the memorial sculptures on the beach.

Normandy American Cemetery (Colleville-sur-Mer) — End the day at the resting place of 9,388 American soldiers, on a bluff overlooking Omaha Beach. Walk among the white marble crosses, visit the memorial and the reflecting pool, and take in the view over the landing sector.

All sites visited are open-air and freely accessible: this tour does not include any museum entry. A lunch break is scheduled in the Omaha Beach area (lunch at your own expense).

Choose between the group tour by air-conditioned coach or a private tour for 1 to 6 people in a sedan or van, with a fully flexible pace and itinerary.
